Towards the end of the film, Vakeel Singh reconciles with Lakhna and lays down his own life to send Sonchiriya to a hospital, where she survives even though Lakhna is shot dead outside. Setting off for the endgame on a death wish to avenge his younger brother, who was killed in an altercation with Lakhna, Vakeel Singh is devastated when he learns about Man Singh’s wilful entry into a trap set for him.
